Launching Development Tools

Windows 7, Vista, XP

These images below reflect Lahey/Fujitsu Fortran installed with the default features.

  1. Click the Windows Start button (or press the Windows key).


  2. Click on All Programs.

  3. Click on Lahey-Fujitsu Fortran 7.5.

    1. To launch the Visual Studio Integrated Development Environment with Fortran support select Microsoft Visual Studio <ver> (LF Fortran).
      Note: Depending on the environment, <ver> = "2012" or "2010".
    2. To launch the command prompt select LF Fortran Console Prompt.
    3. To launch the Help select LF Fortran Help (<ver>).
      Note: Depending on the environment, <ver> = "VS 2012" or "VS 2010" or "HTML".

    To launch another tool or shortcut, click the icon.

Windows 8

These images below reflect Lahey/Fujitsu Fortran installed with the default features.

  1. Go to the Start screen (press the Windows key if in the Desktop).


  2. Type "lf". This automatically goes to Search.

    1. To launch the Visual Studio Integrated Development Environment with Fortran support select Microsoft Visual Studio <ver> (LF Fortran).
      Note: Depending on the environment, <ver> = "2012" or "2010".
    2. To launch the command prompt select LF Fortran Console Prompt.
    3. To launch the Help select LF Fortran Help (<ver>).
      Note: Depending on the environment, <ver> = "VS 2012" or "VS 2010" or "HTML".

  3. To see all shortcuts, press Ctrl-Tab (or right-click and select All apps, or select the Search charm).

  4. Select the desired shortcut.
