Statically Linked Fortran and C Applications

A statically linked application is created from object files built by the respective language systems, which are then linked into a single executable. The C compiler provided with this distribution (gcc.exe) is a companion compiler to the Fortran compiler, and no special steps need be taken when building or linking code built by LGF and GCC, provided the guidelines for interoperability are observed, and both the C and Fortran sides are using the same calling convention. Using the FASTCALL calling convention is not recommended when building mixed-language applications.
